Auto Insurance - Frequently Asked Questions

The typical auto insurance policy was designed for people who don't use their cars for their work...people who stand behind a counter, or sit at a desk all day. These people drive to their office, park their car, then don't see it again until it is time to go home.  They don't carry tools, equipment or supplies in the car, except perhaps a laptop, or a briefcase.

Other workers, such as those in construction trades, or sales people who make a lot of visits to clients, need different insurance. 

The questions to ask yourself are:

• Could I do my job if I didn't have a car or truck?
• Do I carry anything in my car or truck other than a briefcase or laptop?
